SOPA is no more, the Triumph of Internet

It seems the battle against censorship was a success, the chief sponsor of SOPA, Lamar Smith said on Friday that he is pulling the bill "until there is wider agreement on a solution."

Let's hopt the better "solutions" never involve obssesive censorship and vigilance that turns the net into a "Revolution X" like world (Remember NON's "You have no voice, you have no choice"). That would be our future if SOPA was approved, but we fought and saved the net, the place where we share our files and knowledges. Corporations should know that one of the main factors of piracy are the sky-rocketed prices of eveything we buy and the prices rise constantly, if they decide to reduce rather and rise, that will boost the economy and reduce piracy.

Se ve que la batalla contra la censura fue un exito, el jefe promotor de SOPA, Lamar Smith dijo este viernes que retira la propuesta "hasta que haya una mejor solucion".

Esperemos que las mejores soulciones nunca involucren censuras y vigilancia obsesivas que conviertan la net en un mundo tipo "Revolution X" (Recuerdan la frase de NON "No tienes voz, no tienes eleccion"). Si no hubieramos luchado contra SOPA, ese seria nuestro futuro, pero nosotros logramos salvar la red en la que todos compartimos nuestros archivos y conocimientos. Las empresas deberian saber que uno de los principales factores de la pirateria son los precios elevados de lo que compramos y que cada vez aumenta, si optaran por bajar los precios, eso activaria la economia y reduciria la pirateria.
